This is not a new problem, but it has hit me particularly hard several times lately. I'm not sure if there is a way you can deal with it.

When I am typing chat, and someone sends a "give item" or a notice, the focus is instantly transferred to the pop-up dialog.... So instantly that whatever letter I am typing at that moment answers the dialog inadvertently.

Today, I had a person send me an important notecard while I was typing chat, and it landed as I typed an "m", which caused them to be muted. (1) It was awkward, (2) I wasn't sure if I got the card (which I finally found out I had), and (3) I don't even know how to unmute on Metabolt... on the standard viewers you have to mute someone else to bring up the mute list and then remove them both.

If it is a notice with an attachment, the problem is that the key clears the notice, and in Metabolt, I have no way to get back to the Notice and retrieve the attachment.

Is there a way that you can not steal the focus for popups, or delay them, or something that will give me peace of mind that when I'm typing chat, I won't be inadvertently typing commands to any pop-up that appears.

Those are intentional but I hear and appreciate what you are saying. I will look into this area for the next version.

Thx

I have had this problem as well. Actually I rejected a NC from someone while I was typing. It would be great if there would be an option to prevent it from steal focus. Other problem I have gotten is steal focus when there is a new IM or GIM, once I was typing something on local chat and when I realized I had sent the text via IM to someone else. It was a little frustating.

A solution for this has been provided in V 0.9.59.0
