Hello, can anyone tell me why I cannot login to Sl on Maingrid but on Betagrid?

Login Error tells me to check my Avatar name or password - but its correct :)

Using normal viewer i can login to SL
Using Meta viewer I can login only to Beta Grid

Why is that?

thx

Hi Tipi, have you tried logging into a different SIM on the maingrid? The SIM you are trying log into could be having issues.

Yes I did. To make sure, I logged online in SL with graphic viewer and went to another region. Then I logged off to log back online again with the Meta viewer but still the same. I am getting the same message telling me to check my avatar name and password.Confused

I am using the METAbolt_V09230_64bit on Windows 7

Again , everything works fine in Beta Grid

Were you able to login before or is this the first time you are using METAbolt?

In either case do a Windows update to make sure you are fully patched up and then restart your machine and restart your router. Once you switch your router off let it rest for 1-2 minutes.

If the restarts did not help then I am clueless on how to help you Confused This sounds like a communications issue i.e. something has got buffered somewhere (outside of METAbolt) either on your system or on the SL network!

You could try installing an older version of METAbolt and then upgrading to the exisiting one. I don't know what else to suggest. If you do take this route remove what you have and delete the METAbolt folder under c:\progeram files\ first.

P.S. Have you tried loggining in with an alt? What happens then?

#

I found out why

The reason is. I am using a password that is longer than 16.

For example

Password: KkTc-mi~2f%3M2jujkp97hb

Password SL = max 16: KkTc-mi~2f%3M2

If you enter a very long password in SL graphic viewer, the server ignores the digits after 16 and let you login.

If you enter a very long password in text viewer you get an error message to check your avatar name or password.
