For some time a few people have been complaining about the banner ads we display on METAbolt. They have been asking for a paid version of METAbolt which does not have the ads. A paid version of METAbolt is just not possible primarily because I can't look after 2 different versions and secondly METAbolt is a free software and it will stay that way.

As an alternative to this problem I decided that providing a license key to remove the ads is far more logical and easier than having a second version of METAbolt. This way we only have one version of METAbolt and users who do not want to see ads can get METAbolt not to display them by purchasing an ad removal license.

Ads on METAbolt are important for 2 reasons:

1. It is a service to SL in the sense that it connects the SL business owner with the SL consumer and most consumers according to our stats want to see ads.

2. It is a major revenue that helps us finance this project.

But then we respect user rights and opinion and appreciate that not all users want to see ads. That's fair enough! I am here to provide a solution for all tastes. Via the Application/Preferences METAbolt has the ability to suite any requirement. METAbolt is what you need it to be. So a solution has been provided and from now on no one should complain about the ads we display.
