As of Version 0.9.21.0 it is possible to purchase a license that will remove banner ads displayed in METAbolt.
There are 2 types of licenses:
1.
License per avatar: Removes all banner ads only when the licensed avatar logs in to SL. Licenses can be purchased for any number of avatars. Avatar licenses are not machine specific i.e. the license can be used on any machine by the licensed avatar/s.
2.
Machine License: Removes all banner ads on the machine the license for issued for. This means any number of avatars logged in from that machine will not see ads at all. It also means that the license is only for that machine you have applied from and can't be used on a separate machine. You will need to purchase a license for each machine you want to run avatars on.
Purchasing a license
- From the "Help" menu select the "buy ad removal license" option.
- Decide whether you want a license for the currently logged in avatar or the machine (PC/Laptop) you are using and click on the appropriate button. This will generate an email body in the text area underneath the buttons.
- Click on the "Copy" button to copy the contents of the text area above the button
- Open a new email and paste
- Send the email to the address specified in the data you pasted
- Make the relevant payment (in-world) to Legolas Luke accompanied by an IM containing the passkey you have emailed.
We will IGNORE any email application for which a payment has not been made as described above.What is the procedure?
- Once your email and payment has been received we will generate your license key using the passkey and other data you emailed us
- We email the license key to your email address we received the application from
- You will need to copy the license key and paste it into the "Ad removal license key" field on the Security tab under the Application/Preferences menu
- Restart METAbolt

You must not change any part of the auto-generated data which you will email us. If you change any of this data the license key we generate will not work. Once we have generated a license key the fee you pay is NON REFUNDABLE. |
License Fees
Avatar licenses: L$2650 per avatar
Machine licenses: L$7000 per machine
Notes: Fees are one off and valid forever. Licenses are only payable in SL. At this moment we are unable to accept any other payment method. Fees are non-refundable.
Other information
We do not store any information in this process explained above. The data you send us is required for us to generate your license key.
Once we issue the license key, the key will work locally on your machine. It will only be stored on your machine. There are no communications, checks, verifications etc. with any machine outside of your own. We RECOMMEND you store a copy of the license key we issue in a safe place so that you can re-use it if you happen to lose your application settings or remove METAbolt and re-install METAbolt.
