There is 1 thing you need to know first:

1. When you log in which direction is your av/bot facing?

You then need to monitor 2 things:

1. The "compass" next to the movement buttons. This tell you which direction the av is heading e.g. N for North, SW for South West etc

2. The location coordinates displayed at the bottom left hind side with the name of your av. These coordinates will change in real time depending on the direction the av is moving

Depending on which direction your av is facing:

1. the UP arrow button will make it walk straight ahead.
2. the DOWN arrow button will make in walk straignt back
3. the right arrow button will turn it right around its axis
4. the left arrow button will turn it left around its axis

When using the right and left arrow buttons, each click will rotate the av 45 degrees in the direction you click e.g. if you click the left arrow button the av will rotate 45 degrees to it's left. If you click the right one then it will rotate 45 degrees to its right etc.

By checking the coordinates at the bottom of the screen you can determine the distance the av is walking.
