From V 0.9.40 onwards METAbolt supports SL Voice.
How enable voice
Due to licensing conditions we are unable to distribute the files required for voice to work. For this reason you are required to do it yourself.
To enable voice you need to copy the files below to the "App Dir" (default is c:\program files\metabolt) of METAbolt from a Snowglobe version of an SL viewer. Most
3rd party SL viewers are Snowglobe versions.
The files you need to copy are:
alut.dll
ortp.dll
openal32.dll (only if using the ones from Imprudence viewer)
SLVoice.exe
vivoxsdk.dll
wrap_oal.dll
Once you have copied these into the
App Dir of METAbolt you will be able to use the voice function by following the steps below.
How to use voice
1. Once you have done all the above click on the "Enable Voice" checkbox at the bottom of the voice panel.
2. After a series of messages which will be displayed in red and on top of this checkbox, you will see the prompt "Daemon connected" which signifies that all the components are working and a connection has been extablished with the voice server.
3. After the "Daemon connected" prompt you will see a "Session started" prompt which means that everything has been completed and voice is active.
4. For you security the MIC is muted by default. To speak unmute the MIC from the checkbox next to it. To stop speaking mute it back. You can also use the F3 button as a "push to talk" button (see the note at the bottom of this page)
5. At any time you can mute/unmute the speakers from the mute checkbox next to it.
6. To end a voice session simply uncheck the "Enable voice" checkbox at the bottom.
