Overwiew

METAbolt is a TPV (Third Party Viewer) Directory listed Text Client and is not provided or supported by Linden Lab, the makers of Second Life. This software is provided by the METAbolt Development Team.

METAbolt is not a modified version of the Linden Lab open source viewer source code. METAbolt is a "text client" i.e. it does not have a graphical interface (excluding the feature to view individual objects and HUDs in 3D) like the Linden Lab viewer and is being built ground up using libopenmetaverse and other libraries/components.

METAbolt offers a rich set of both LSL APIs and software plugins which enable the software to be extended with varying features (depending on requirements) and to empower intelligent, sophisticated and powerful bots if needed. METAbolt is a modular and highly configurable software which allows its users to select the features they want as much or less as they want. The core (text client) is extremely light and fast.
