Hi again.
I know this has been discussed before but since the problem isn't fixed in the new Version of METABolt I bring it up again. I am using Windows XP, 6 Mbit DSL Connection, have a brandnew Dual CPU with 2 x 3.0 GHZ, 2 GB RAM and all the fixes from MS installed. But for some of my Avatars there is no Inventory while others have access to it. The situation gets even worse. In the last days I lost 2 more AV which had access to their Inventory before. What happens: You connect to SL, want to open your Inventory before the Objects List is loaded and then it's just gone and will never show up again. That's at least how I think it happened. Others had no Inventory from the beginning. What I have to do now and what isnt most of the time possible, I have to start the normal SL Viewer to Access the Inventory. So this AV are yet worthless for me.
Anything new about this?

Hi Trooper, The inventory is now fully functional (in the general sense...give or take a few mightbe bugs). If any of your avatars don't have an inventory it is due to the fact that you tried to use the inventory with the older versions of METAbolt which was somehow confusuing SL, or maybe SL wasn't handling it well and it was resulting in the inventory ending up the way you have desribed. A brand new avatar should no longer have that problem. I use the term "brand new" in the sense of an avatar that is using METAbolt from version 0.45 onwards and has never used METAbolt before that. Let me know if it's otherwise. For the old avatars who have the inventory messed up like you have described you will need to log into SL with the SL viewer, empty the cache and use the inventory. If that doesn't resolve the situation you will need to contact Linden ask them to reset your inventory. Everything should be fine after that. Keep me updated pls. P.S. This could also be due to a new avatar not being initiated by SL i.e. when you create a new avatar you have to go through the Noob Island process using the SL viewer. Have you done that with all your new avatars?

Hi Luke, I use METABolt indeed since a while now but my main AV Inventory is just messed up since 2 days now. I can't create a new one, since his outfit - Shape, Skin, clothing - did cost me a lot. For the others I don't really care but it's still a bit annoying. Going thru the Noob Island Process ... well ... I am afraid I never did that.  I saw no reason for doing it. I will follow your advice, log to SL, clear the cache, use the Inventory and keep you informed. Talk to you later Trooper

Take one of your alts with no inventory through the Noob Island process using the SL viewer and see if it changes anything pls. Hey Luke,
What I did: The main AV logged in with the SL Viewer, I played a bit arround with the Inventory, deleted some needless Items, transfered some to other folders, logged out, started SL again and it cleared the cache, closed SL again, logged in with METABolt, got an Item but though the Button turned red, there is still no Inventory. I will do the Noob Island Walkthrough later to see if there is any change. I did not much with my Main AV with the old version of METABolt. I just clicked on Inventory before I got Items - Freebie -. And all folders was gone.

Hi Trooper, Unfortunately your main AV sounds like a task for Linden to fix. Contact them and tell them that your inventory has disappeared and they will set it right :(

More bad news Luke: I created for a test a brandnew AV today, August 19th. With the SL Viewer the Inventory is fine, while in METABolt 0.9.0.45 is again no inventory. So it can not only be a bug in the old version of METABolt.

And the problem continues: I just lost one of my older AV Inventory Folders now while restarting METABolt and clicking at the Inventory Folder.

Hi Trooper, When you say you "lost a folder" do you mean it doesn't show up in METAbolt or is it gone from the SL viewer too? No one is commenting on the new inventory so I can't tell if this is specific to you or if there is something that's playing up somehow. I have 8 alts that I'm testing METAbolt with and they all have inventories. My main alts inventory won't work cos it's too large and that's a known problem which will be resolved in the near future. I need more information, facts and patterns to be able to nail this. Is there anyone else having this problem or similar? In the mean time Trooper, you mentioned that some of your alts had inventory while others didn't. I need to know what the similarities/differences are between the ones that do and dont. i.e. 1. roughly how many items do they have in the inventory 2. have they all been through the SL initiation process 3. are the ones that do work the ones that have received no items into the inventory or vice versa and what ever else pattern you can find etc. Thx
