METAwiki is a dedicated wiki for METAbolt. METAwiki's aim is to provide comprehensive information and instructions for METAbolt users.
METAbolt is a
Second Life® TPV Directory listed Text Client and is not provided or supported by
Linden Lab, the
makers of Second Life. This software is provided by
The METAbolt
Development Team. METAbolt is not a modified version of the
Linden Lab open source viewer source code. METAbolt is a "text
client" i.e. it does not have a graphical interface like the
Linden Lab viewer and is being built ground up using
libopenmetaverse libraries/components.
METAbolt software is open-source
and FREE. It is only distributed from this official METAbolt web site and NOWHERE ELSE.
If you come across distributions elsewhere, refrain from downloading as the
software you download could be malicious and may harm your computer or even put
your security at risk.
Your views and opinions are important to us.
METAbolt is developed by SL users for SL/Metaverse users. We would be more than
happy to hear your comments and ideas in the METAforums (www.metabolt.net/metaforums/).
METAforums is also the place to find “almost” instant support and help. You can
further find “tips & tricks” and user manuals as well as other important material
& detailed information in this wiki.
If you are a METAbolt user please feel free to roll your sleeves up &
sign up from the menu item on the left. You can then create the content (obviously only METAbolt related) you would like to create & help us put this wiki together.
If you speak another language other than English fluently you might want to create content in that language and it would be highly appreciated. We intend to make METAbolt an internationalised product that will eventually be available in mutiple languages. This would be a perfect start.
