METAbolt Installation
Installing METAbolt is quite straight forward and automated. Simply go to the
download page, click on the "download binary" menu option and then click on the "Download" button on that page. This will download the set-up file in a ZIP compressed file
The current METAbolt version on release is 0.9.31.0 (released 22 August 2010).
IMPORTANT: ALLWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR PC/LAPTOP HAS BEEN PATCHED UP WITH THE LATEST MICROSOFT UPDATES.
METABOLT REQUIRES THE .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 TO BE INSTALLED ON YOUR MACHINE.

Instructions
1. Unzip the ZIP file to a folder
2. Double click on "Setup.exe"
3. Follow the on screen instructions
NOTE: METAbolt will install only the core files required for METAbolt to work. AI files are optional and unless you select the option they will not be installed.
IMPORTANT: YOU NEED TO HAVE ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS TO INSTALL/UNINSTALL METABOLT. After it is installed, the METAbolt application must be run as ADMINISTRATOR. This means on Windows XP the account you are logged into your machine with needs to be the administrator or a member of the adminsitrators group for that machine. On Windows Vista & Windows 7 your account needs to have administrators priviledges.
Updates/Upgrades/Patches
Updates are handled automatically. Every time you start METAbolt the application will check to see if there is an update. After that be default it will check every 2 days.
You can manually check for updates at any time by selecting the "Check for updates" menu option under the Help menu in METAbolt. By selecting the "Update configuration" menu option under the Help menu you can change the update settings to your own preferences...you can even disable it altogether if you wish.
Installation Problems
If you have any problems installing by double clicking on the "Setup.exe" file then try double clicking on the "METAboltxxx.msi" file.
METABOLT WILL NOT WORK ON WINDOWS VERSIONS EARLIER THAN WINDOWS XP :(
