Tell everyone about the Music playing on your Land¶
Shoutcast Stats Machine is a free METAbolt plugin exe to chat (and optionally display) the ShoutCast (TM) statistics that correspond with the Music setting on the parcel you are standing on.
From the statistics chatted those nearby can read in chat the Artist and Title of the current track also the station details.
When you run SSM you can choose from Whisper to Region, please think hard before using anything louder than Speak.
If you need to look for problems you can tick the box to see error messages, but these are not chatted or broadcast to the Display Board.

does not use
voice only
chat.
Display the Music playing on your Land¶
By purchasing the companion In-World "ShoutCast Stats Display Board" from Machin's Machines in Anma (Go to:
5th Avenue Store) you can also have the full statistics displayed in your club or venue.

When you Rez the display board you can set the Config to use any one of 8 channels - choose the same channel in SSM; this allows up to 8 different SSM to operate in a region without conflicts.
Installation of the SSM plug-in
1. Unzip the ShoutCastMachine.ZIP file
2. Copy the ShoutCastMachine.exe into the "Extensions" folder (the default folder is now in the DataDir i.e. users roaming folder)
3. Log into SL
4. Select the "ShoutCastMachine" menu option under the "Plugins" menu in METAbolt
5. When you are happy you can select "ShoutCastMachine" in Application | Preferences | Plugins to make it start every time you start METAbolt.
NOTE: The above steps apply to installing any plugin and not just SSM.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION and T&Cs¶
Plugins are not a part of the METAbolt application. They run within METAbolt when they are started and for as long as they are running. If a plugin e.g. SSM is running to display Music stats and you close it down, SSMs whole operation will stop and you will need to restart it and set it up to continue what it was doing.
